A complete renovation with gracious finishes adds style to a Saratoga ranch home
In two phases we completely renovated and updated our client's Saratoga ranch home. The bedroom wing included an addition to the master suite, completely new bathrooms for the master suite and children, and new finishes throughout. The kitchen and family room was slightly rearranged to maximize functionality and flow on this side of the home.The baths are richly finished with marble, slate, limestone, cherry cabinetry, and lots of color on the walls. The Master Bath is a study in neutral colors with punches of deep reds and burgundys. Separate his and hers vanities allow plenty of space for the couple when they are using the bath together. A door at one end leads to the walk-in closet. A new steam shower features a beautiful stone tile mosaic as the focal point on the back wall. The childrens' bath is finished with a colorful slate that is accented by the rich blue wall color. Separate vanities were designed in this bath as well, to give each sibling his and her own space. The shower and bath were also separated for this same reason. What is created is almost two separate baths in one space.
The main goal in the kitchen renovation was to modernize the finishes and to enlarge the kitchen as much as possible. A powder room and laundry off the garage were rearranged to allow for a better flow from the garage to the kitchen and to minimize the space used by each. A door to the dining room was also closed off to allow for additional cabinetry and work areas. The kitchen and family room were opened up, and informal dining was moved from a separate table to the end of the peninsula. This allows for additional counter and storage in the kitchen, as well as a better connection between the rooms. The ceiling was raised throughout to give the room additional height and space. Finishes include cherry cabinetry, a granite countertop, and glazed ceramic tile backsplash. A custom fireplace surround incorporates the new entertainment center.
The entire home has been completely transformed by great attention to details and finishes throughout. A beautiful use of color on the walls highlights the wonderful color in all of the cabinetry, countertops and tilework. Our clients are now able to enjoy the luxurious and gracious home they were looking for.
